Neal A. Rath

Neal Rath, 73, of Rochester, NY sadly passed away on September 22, 2023. Neal was born on November 21, 1949 to Anna and Edwin Rath of Hamlin, NY.


Neal spent his summer months in his favorite place on his boat in the Irondequoit Bay. After retirement from Delphi, he spent his winters in South Florida escaping the cold New York weather.


Neal will be remembered as “The life of the party” and he never met a stranger. Neal touched so many people’s lives and was always there to lend a helping hand. Neal was an avid fisherman, hunter, boater and sports enthusiast and his beloved teams were the Yankees, Steelers and the Syracuse basketball team.


He was a music aficionado and loved listening to the Beach Boys and attending concerts. Neal was a loving father and grandfather and was admired by his grandson Carter and granddaughter Taylor who proudly wear his number 47 for their jersey number in sports.


Neal was preceded in death by his parents Anna and Edwin, his brothers Robert, Larry, Jack as well as his sister Elizabeth. Neal is survived by his son Trevor Rath, his brothers Dale and Richard and his grandchildren Carter and Taylor Rath. Neal will forever be missed by his family and friends.


The family is hosting a Celebration of Life on October 18th at 1:00pm, at the Hamlin VFW Post 6703 located at 1739 Lake Road, in Hamlin NY.
