Margaret "Peg" Lyons David
West Irondequoit: Passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the age of 89. Predeceased by her loving husband Milton and son Jonathan. She is survived by her daughters Dr. Martha A. David and her husband Frank Petronio, and Nancy C. David and her husband David Merkel, granddaughter Olivia Petronio, "daughter" Mimi Zhou and her husband, Sri Rau and their sons, Arjun and Vikram.
After graduating from Oberlin College in 1952, Peg started her teaching career in the Rochester City Schools as a first-grade teacher. Later she taught English as a Second Language in Dake Middle School, West Irondequoit. Peg had an open door and warm welcome for everyone she met, as well as a gift for perceiving and valuing the best in others. She was an enthusiastic reader and life-long learner.
Services will be held privately at a later date. Those wishing may contribute to Rochester Presbyterian Home--Cottage Grove.
