Rochester: Passed away peacefully on Thursday July 14, 2022, at the age of 76. Predeceased by his mother Esther, and sister Connie. Survived by his loving wife Susan (Thayer) Hughes; daughters Karen Cornelius and Kim Ackerman, several grandchildren, brother Tom (Paula) Hughes, nieces, nephews, and many other beloved family.

There will be no prior calling hours. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In honor of James, those wishing may contribute to the American Cancer Society, 1120 S Goodman St. Rochester, NY 14620.
